About Tyler’s Automotive

History

When Tyler started repairing cars in his garage back in the early 1990s, he didn’t imagine his then hobby would turn into a thriving business. Tyler was a one-man show repairing the cars of his neighbors and friends, while his wife Margaret shuttled those customers between the garage and their homes, often with the couple’s two sons in tow. It soon became clear that this hobby as a mechanic could be a full-time job. The first Tyler’s Automotive opened in Tigard in 1993 with the determination they would provide honest, exceptional, and complete automotive repair with no tricks and no pressure.

That philosophy served the business well and by 2006 the second Tyler’s Automotive opened in Wilsonville, and in 2008 the third operation opened in Newberg. Both those boys who tagged along on shuttles with Margaret are now working in the business and the family has never looked back.
